About P-Patch

In 2020, we saw the dissolution of systems put in place to help children and their families. The remaining supports are unable to carry the financial burden of providing appropriate care. The result has been a reduction in access to therapeutic services and an increased strain on our already fragile mental health infrastructure. Among the many services affected by this have been programs designed to support children and families when schools are not in session, primarily therapeutic camps.

P-Patch was formed as a response to the reduced access to care witnessed in 2020. We recognize the many benefits to children and families that attending camp can have and understand that organizations need support to provide quality care--so we have created a scholarship program for children and families looking to attend camp. P-Patch scholarships will work alongside the existing mental health system infrastructure, allowing families to use their existing resources while increasing the scope those resources provide. This means more kids will go to camp for longer and with the one-on-one support they need.
